Hawai`i Craftsmen have a wide range of members. We encourage student craftspeople to join us and learn from our educational programs and the experience of our expert professional members.

We value both the beginner and the seasoned craftsperson; the three-dimensional fine artist and the quilters; the embroiderers and bead makers; the sculptural metalworker and the jeweler; the carver of bowls and gourds and the furniture maker.

Hawai`i Craftsmen is supported by:

• Membership dues,
• Entry and registration fees for programs,
• Donations from individuals and corporations,
• Grants from the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts,
• The Hawai`i Community Foundation and other Foundations and Corporations.
• In-kind support for services, space and supplies from cooperating organizations, businesses and institutions along with volunteers keeps this organization vibrant and productive.

Individual, Corporate and Foundation support of Hawai`i Craftsmen is listed in newsletters and the appropriate program announcements and catalogs as well as on a dedicated page of this website.

As you will see from the statement made by artists their place in the art community will vary from award winning professional to absolute beginner.
